Is aluminum strong enough?

Is aluminum strong enough for a driveway gate?

For most homes, yes. A well-built aluminum gate uses thicker structural tubing and a welded or bolted frame, so it stays square and resists bending, while weighing a fraction of steel. That lighter weight is easier on hinges and openers. Where you need maximum security or very wide spans, steel can still be the better pick, and we’ll tell you which fits.
