Single swing gate
One leaf that opens across the drive. Simple, strong and easy to automate.
A swing gate is a driveway or entry gate that opens on hinges like a door, as a single leaf or a pair of double gates meeting in the middle. It needs clear room to swing, and in return it gives a classic, grand entrance with no track in the driveway. Eagle Automatic Gate & Door builds swing gates to size in iron, steel and wood, automates them with LiftMaster arm or pad-mounted operators, and repairs sagging leaves, hinges and openers.

Every swing gate is built to your opening and hung on posts and hinges sized for its weight, so it won’t sag.
We size the operator to each leaf’s weight and length, add battery backup and photo eyes for UL 325, and sync double gates wirelessly so there’s no trench across the drive.
“We’ve hung swing gates on everything from flat suburban drives to steep hillside entries. Getting the hinges and posts right is what keeps a swing gate square for decades.”
Most swing gates open inward, onto your property, so they never swing into the street or sidewalk; many cities require that. Outward swing can make sense when the driveway rises steeply inside the gate, but you need clear room outside and must check local rules. We measure both directions on the visit. Call our specialist and we’ll tell you which works.

It depends on single or double leaves, width, material, posts, the operator and any access control. Every project starts with a free site visit and a written quote, and financing is available.
Double gates need half the swing room per leaf and look balanced on wide entries. A single gate is simpler and costs less on narrower drives.
Usually worn hinges, a leaning post or a frame that has racked. We re-hang, add a stronger hinge or post, or square the frame so it closes cleanly again.
Often, if the ground doesn’t rise into the swing path. We can raise the gate, use rising hinges or swing it outward; on steep slopes a sliding gate may be better.
Usually yes, if the gate swings freely and the posts are solid. We fit an arm or pad-mounted LiftMaster operator with battery backup and photo eyes.
Not with today’s LiftMaster operators. The two leaves can communicate wirelessly, so there’s no cut across the driveway.
