Quick answer

What does garage door opener repair cover?

Garage door opener repair fixes the motor unit that raises and lowers your door: the logic board, motor and capacitor, drive gears, belt or chain, travel limits, safety sensors and the remotes and keypads that control it. Many “opener” problems are really a blocked sensor or an unbalanced door, so we check the whole system. Eagle Automatic Gate & Door repairs openers on all major brands across the Bay Area.

I recently had an automatic gate opener installed by Eagle Automatic Gate & Door, and I’m very pleased with the whole experience. Out of the four companies I got quotes from, theirs was the most reasonable, by far. But what really made the difference was Richard. Straight shooter, no games.

We absolutely love our custom fabricated gates! We couldn’t find anything that fit the sizes and quality we were looking for. We spent hours online and didn’t want to risk the quality on an overseas gate. Matt and the team did an amazing job.

I needed someone to come out the same day to fix a gate issue caused by a tenant, and this company responded immediately! They sent someone out the same day, Sam fixed the sensor. He was on time, communicated very well throughout the process, and got everything working quickly. I highly recommend them.

Reversing doors

Why does my garage door reverse before it closes?

Usually the safety sensors by the floor: dirty lenses, a bumped bracket or sun shining straight into one. Clean them and check that both lights are steady. If it reverses on its own with nothing in the way, the close force or travel limit may need adjusting, or the door may be binding or out of balance. Don’t turn the force up to “fix” it; that defeats the safety. Call our specialist.

Opener repair questions.

Still not sure? Call us and describe what your gate is doing.

Why is my garage door opener humming but not moving?+

Often a failed capacitor, stripped gear or a door that’s too heavy because of a broken spring. Don’t keep pressing the button; call us.

Why won’t my remote open the garage door?+

A dead remote battery, lost programming or a lock-out setting on the wall control. We reprogram or replace remotes.

How much does garage door opener repair cost?+

It depends on the part. We diagnose first and give a written price.

Should I repair or replace my garage door opener?+

Repair makes sense for newer openers with one failed part; old, noisy or unsafe openers are often worth replacing.

Do you repair all opener brands?+

Yes, all major garage door opener brands.

Is opener repair covered by a warranty?+

Our work is backed by a parts and labor warranty, and new doors and openers carry the manufacturer’s warranty.
